about

reach new heights

At Ascendent Health Marketing, we act with intention and we work with passion. We believe that mental health should be a priority for all and we are driven by that belief.

Everything we do is to help make that belief a reality.

our core beliefs

  • Life is stressful and full of unexpected ups and downs. At AHM, we acknowledge that mental health is just as important as physical health, and should be maintained and treated when necessary. No person will ever be judged or treated differently because o their mental health status.

  • It is a priority of AHM to provide a safe work environment for all employees. We are allies to the LGBT+ community, support Black Lives Matter and our Transgender siblings. We believe in creating fair access, opportunity, and advancement for all different people, understanding, accepting, and valuing those differences, and where every employee feels a sense of belonging and value.

  • AHM ensures that clients understand exactly what is being done for them at each step. We are very clear with clients that:

    1. Digital marketing is not a magic pill that will bring in more revenue overnight and

    2. That the more they work together, the more clearly the client’s brand will be understood, and there is a learning period for both the agency and the client in which bumps may be felt by both parties.

These clear expectations are given during the onboarding process of each client so that they do not expect us to work miracles or be mind readers (although, that would be very cool).

  • At AHM, we are revolutionizing the way parents work. We know being a parent is hard AF, and we’re not here to pretend your kids don’t exist or that balancing work and parenting is easy. For too long, we have been forced to give 100% to both our jobs and our families, and yet the two must never intertwine or overlap. If they do, we are viewed as either bad mothers or not dedicated to our job, depending on which entity gets our attention at that moment. This is not the case at AHM. We understand that parenthood isn’t a 9-5 job, but a lifestyle, and believe that employment and parenting can coexist.

  • AHM wants clients to trust them with all their creative business needs. Through their work and personal relationships, we want clients to feel they are always taken care of and that their needs are a priority. Many business owners feel like their businesses are their children, and we know that a delicate touch is needed to gain their trust when handling their baby.

  • We are all humans who make mistakes. We do not expect perfection, for our employees to work 90 hours a week or for them to sacrifice their personal and family lives for work. While we still have expectations of dedication to the work and agency, we will also be creating a new type of workplace culture where the employee is not simply viewed as such but is also viewed as an entire person with a life and needs outside of AHM.

the story behind our agency

front and center

The world we live in is not always easy to understand, and with all the ways our lives can go sideways, it seems now more than ever that folks are in need of mental health care. And we want to help.

You started your practice because you have a passion for helping others, not because you wanted to be an expert in digital marketing. Luckily, our passion is helping other, too—YOU—and we’re really good at. We want to connect you with patients because they need you. Your profession saves lives, and if we can help you do that for as many people as possible, we will have done a little good in the world.

why we believe mental health practices should be

It all stems from personal experience

CEO Jessica Milicevic has been open about her own journey with mental health, specifically surrounding motherhood. As a business owner, she went through a few iterations of a digital marketing business model until it finally hit her: help those who have helped her. Since making that decision, the pieces of AHM fell naturally into place.

“I am a fierce advocate for mental health access. Since my own breakdown in 2016, I’ve been working hard healing and talking to as many women as I can about their own mental health. As a marketing expert, I wanted to be able to give back to a profession that gave so much to me; that gave me my joy for life back. What better way to give back, than by helping their practices grow? By helping them grow, I am helping others start their own journey of healing. This is truly the way to pay it forward.”
